Manuscript Submission Guidelines
Title Page
The title page must be uploaded separately and should include the following:
- Title of the Manuscript: Clearly state the title of the research.
- Authors' Information: Provide the names, designations, affiliations, city, country, email address, and ORCID IDs of all authors in one separate file.
- Corresponding Author’s Details: Include the full postal address, phone number, fax number, and email of the corresponding author.
- Short Running Title: Suggest a running title with no more than 40 characters, including spaces.
- Acknowledgements: List any financial or research assistance acknowledgements. These must be limited to the title page and should not appear elsewhere in the manuscript.
Abstract Page
Begin your manuscript with an abstract page (no title). The abstract should meet the following criteria:
- Word Limit: A concise abstract of up to 250 words.
- Anonymity: Ensure the abstract does not contain any information that could identify the author(s).
Keywords
When submitting your manuscript via the AMSS Open Journal System (OJS), provide six to eight keywords relevant to your research.
Manuscript Body Guidelines
- Introduction: Clearly state the research objectives and provide the context for the study.
- Literature Review: Limit the literature review to relevant references directly supporting the research topic.
- Theoretical Framework: For theoretical papers, devote a whole section to developing the theoretical framework.
- Empirical Section: Provide appropriate citations for statistical methodologies. A full explanation is required only for new methodologies.
- Statistical Analyses: Include statistical analyses and results within the body of the manuscript.
- Conclusion: Summarize key findings and the overall contribution of the study.
Note: Ensure the article is comprehensive yet concise, maintaining a word count between 3000 and 5000 words, with each section proportionally developed to support clarity and depth.
Presentation Style
- Margins: Set margins to 1 inch (2.5 cm) at the top, bottom, and left; 1 cm on the right side of the page.
- Font: Use 12-point Times New Roman throughout the document for all paragraphs.
- Spacing: Apply 1.5 spacing to the entire manuscript, including the abstract, references, and appendices.
- Page Numbers: Number all pages starting from the abstract.
- Sentence Spacing: Use single spaces between sentences.
- Text Justification: Ensure the text is fully justified.
Headings Format
AMSS uses four levels of headings:
- Title: Centered, bold, all uppercase, size 16 font.
- Main Headings: Left-aligned, bold, size 14 font.
- Second-Level Headings: Left-aligned, bold, size 12 font, with major words capitalized.
- Third-Level Headings: Italicized, first word capitalized, followed by text on the same line.
- Fourth-Level Headings: Indented, italicized, with the first word capitalized, ending in a period, followed by text.
Citations and References
- In-Text Citations: Follow APA 7th edition style. For multiple references, list them alphabetically and separate by semicolons (e.g., "Several studies (Adam & Fizz, 1976; Carol, 1993a, 1993b; Ali & Razi, 2003) support this conclusion").
- For two authors, include both names in every citation (e.g., Ranold and Sam, 1998). For three or more authors, use the first author’s name followed by "et al."
- When citing a direct quote, include the page number after the year, separated by a colon (e.g., "David elaborates, stating, 'the confluence of favorability...' (David, 1988: p. 538)")
